Michael Wu was recently appointed senior vice presi- dent, general counsel and secretary of Carter’s Inc. Wu joined Carter’s from Rosetta Stone Inc., where he served as general counsel and corporate secretary from 2006–2014. Prior to that, Wu served as vice presi- dent and general counsel of Teleglobe International Holdings Ltd. Wu serves on the advisory committee of the Asian American Bar Association of New York and the board of directors of the Washington Metropolitan Area Corporate Counsel Association. Wu holds a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law and his B.A. from Emory University.

Gerald C. Wells has joined the Washington, D.C. offi ce of Quarles & Brady LLP as a partner in the Corporate Services Practice Group. P rior to joining the fi rm, Wells was a partner at DLA Piper in Atlanta. He focuses his practice in franchising, licensing, distri- bution, mergers and acquisi- tions, and general corporate law. Wells has consistently been recognized in The International Who’s Who of Franchise Lawyers and Best Lawyers, and as a Franchise Times Legal Eagle. He earned his law degree from the College of William and Mary and his undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland.

O’Melveny & Myers LLP welcomes back Danielle Gray as a litigation partner. In her service to the Obama administration, Gray has held a number of senior legal and policy roles, most recently as President Obama’s chief liaison to his Cabinet. Gray will be a mem- ber of O’Melveny’s Financial Services Practice Group and will provide counseling to fi nancial institutions, health- care companies, and other consumer fi nancial services companies on complex regulatory problems and litigation. Gray will also play an active role in the fi rm’s appellate and white collar and corporate investigations practices.

Melissa S. Woods, Of Counsel in Meyer Suozzi’s Labor and Employment Law Practice Groups, was appointed to the AFL-CIO Lawyers Coordinating Committee (LCC) Diversity Initiative Steering Committee. The LCC Board, comprised of attorneys representing AFL-CIO affi liated international, national and local unions, is engaged in the work of improving and expanding the organization’s programs to educate and mobilize its members and advance the labor movement’s goals, while the Diversity Steering Committee specifi cally focuses on the develop- ment and implementation of diversity programs within the LCC.
