W P

ing has appointed Giles Birkhead as European apparel sales director with immediate effect.

Giles has worked in the apparel industry since

1991 and more recently in golf apparel since 2000, working for some of the industry’s leading brands. The appointment comes after PING announced

Commenting on his appointment, Giles said: “It’s

such an exciting role. This is a rare opportunity to join a very prestigious, highly-respected brand at a time when there is real opportunity for the brand to significantly grow in the apparel sector across the whole of Europe. I’m thrilled to be joining the team and can’t wait to get started.” Andy Solheim, PING’s vice president of brand

development, added: “Giles will bring vast experience, knowledge and direction to what is already a great team. These are very exciting times at PING and this appointment affirms both our ambitions and our growing status within the apparel market.”
