Springer partners with the Università degli Studi di Palermo


Springer has entered into a partnership with Università degli Studi di Palermo to publish a new English-language book series. The UNIPA Springer Series is described as a unique cooperation that will showcase research from five core disciplines: medicine, biomedicine and life sciences; engineering and physics; mathematics, statistics and computer sciences; business,


economics and law; and human, behavioural and social sciences. Wiley announces Nursing Open


Nursing Open has been launched as part of the Wiley Open Access publishing programme. The journal is said to be one of the first open-access journals to span the entire nursing field. Nursing Open promises authors a new platform for the rapid dissemination of

Journal examines psychology of sexual orientation


The American Psychological Association (APA) has launched Psychology of Sexual Orientation and Gender Diversity. This quarterly journal will include empirical research, theoretical and conceptual articles, in-depth reviews of research and literature, clinical case studies and book reviews. DeepDyve and FIZ Karlsruhe partner on document rental services


FIZ Karlsruhe and


DeepDyve have announced an agreement to offer DeepDyve’s article rental capability to FIZ AutoDoc’s clients.


FIZ Karlsruhe now


includes the option to rent DeepDyve articles directly from its document delivery platform, FIZ AutoDoc. Customers can continue to order full-text PDF documents but they will also have the option to rent the articles from DeepDyve at a more affordable price.


The rented articles will be available for a 30-day period and can be viewed through a browser repeatedly until its expiration date. However, to ensure that no copyright is violated, these articles can neither be printed nor processed in any other way. The American Psychological Association (APA) has launched Spirituality in Clinical Practice, a quarterly journal designed for clinical practitioners that promises to feature articles that embrace spiritually-oriented psychotherapy and spirituality- sensitive cultural approaches to treatment and wellness. The journal aims to provide


a forum for those engaged in clinical activities to report on their efforts and highlight actual and potential applications of spirituality in clinical practice.
