HOLIDAY VILLAGES
Landal Green Parks The majority of Landal Green Parks are situated in the middle of Holland and on the Mosel in Germany. The parks are located in forests and provide a beautiful, safe and tranquil location for younger touring teams. Accommodation is in well equipped bungalows and villas comprising bedrooms, bathroom, wc, fully equipped kitchen, dining area, lounge, satellite TV, open fire and patio.
IN OUR OPINION
Although smaller than the main holiday villag es in Holland, Landal Green Parks are ideal for younger touring groups, the park operates a quiet time after 11.30 p.m. and encourages family groups, making it suitable for teams up to 12 years of age.
Youth hostels
The Dutch youth hostel federation (Stayokay) boasts some excellent budget accommodation, gone are the days of helping with the washing up and sleeping in draughty dorms. The Stayokay has undergone a modernising programme that means all the hostels we offer provide well appointed bedrooms, good food, on site recreational facilities, bars satellite TV in the common rooms and at Doorwerth and Valkenswaard, a multitude of sports facilities. We offer 30 youth hostels throughout Holland.
Hotels We can offer a complete range of hotels to suit all budgets, they are broadly defined as follows:
TOURIST HOTEL Generally accommodation is in rooms of 2 - 4 sharing, although
larger and smaller rooms may be used, most will have private facilities included or on the same floor. In general all hotels will have a bar and restaurant and are situated within a short walk of the central area of towns.
MEDIUM GRADE HOTELS This category of hotel will offer 2 - 4 bedded rooms with en suite
facilities. The standard of facilities available to guests varies from hotel to hotel, some will have satellite TV in the rooms. All hotels of this grade will normally have a bar and restaurant.
FIRST CLASS HOTELS All rooms will be twin en suite with TV, telephone. Hotel facilities will usually
include 24 hour room service, bar, restaurant, sport and leisure amenities and other services.
IN OUR OPINION
Dutch youth hostels make a good tour base for all age groups, there are no restrictions or curfews. The staff are predominantly young, helpful and friendly and are a good source of local knowledge, they are only too pleased to let you know the best places to visit in the local area. The hostels are situated throughout the country, from the seaside resorts to Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Arnhem.
