FREESTYLE WORLD CUP COMING TO L.A.: The World Cup for freestyle wrestling is set to return to the United States this year. The power-packed 10- team dual meet event is scheduled for March 15-16 in Los Angeles.
BURROUGHS SET FOR RETURN TO MAT: Olympic gold medalist Jordan Burroughs is ready to return to competition as he takes aim at winning his third straight World championship for the United States in freestyle wrestling.
RAGAN EMERGES AS RISING STAR: Top young women’s freestyle prospect Alli Ragan enjoyed a breakthrough season in 2013. Ragan won a silver medal at the World University Games and made the U.S. Senior World Team.
NITTANY LIONS MAKE STATEMENT: The top-ranked Penn State Nittany Lions, despite missing two starters, won 7 of 10 matches in earning an impressive 24-12 road win at No. 2 Iowa on Dec. 21 in Iowa City, Iowa.
