HERE FOR ADE’S TOP TIPS

After being diagnosed with Parkinson’s last year, Tom Phillips made the valiant decision to set a challenging goal each year and raise funds for Parkinson’s UK in the process. In November he embarked on an arduous trek in the Annapurna region of Nepal with his trusty Olympus E-3 by his side to document the experience. Click here to see Tom’s images.

Night photography is the perfect opportunity for some fun, and that’s what the latest Olympus Experience led by professional photographer Adrian Wilson was all about. It was a freezing cold night but the attendees had

a great time painting Kirkstall Abbey in Leeds with torches and coloured filter gels. Ade explained the techniques and then made sure everyone was happy before light painting commenced. The photographers using the OM-D E-M5 and

E-M1 had the advantage of Live Bulb so it was easy to check the accuracy and evenness of the light painting as it progressed. As the temperature plummeted, the action heated

up as the second half of the evening was dedicated to wire wool spinning, with one or two people spinning for amazing effects. Some great pictures were taken and a wonderful

time was had by all. Click here to find out more about Olympus events on the Image Space website.
