2013 INBOX
"Thanks for the stories with, for and about Willys. I'm gonna get my 49 panel running, really. Work gets in the way, with two jobs, to give me a block of time to play (read- tinker on the Willys). Your stories help keep the panel on my mind" ›› David Lutrell ›› Willys Jeep Life
"Everyone that stops me when I'm in my Jeep and inquires about how they could get into the hobby, I tell them the fi rst place to start is your site, the blogs and catalog. What a great catalog, and just wanted to let you know that you have done a great job sharing other people's stories about them and their Jeeps. What a great community!! Glad to also hear that you have some new rescues and projects!!! Keep up the good work!!!" ›› Phillip Hostetteler ›› Kaiser Willys Catalog
Dear Members,
As I prepared myself for the newest revision of the catalog, I re-read several catalogs from years past to contemplate what to include for 2013’s recap, and I must say, things have been moving fast! In 2011, I had no idea that Willys Jeeps would alter the course of my life in the profound way that they truly have.
Just this summer, for example, Kaiser went to the Bantam Heritage Festival in Butler, PA, which was absolutely fantastic ~ all you guys Rock! Our very own Willys Overland superhero “Go-Devil” made an appearance with the Willys pinup girls to challenge Jeep madman, Clint Bochan, which is to say that we had an amazing time. For those of you who missed it, I would encourage you to come see us in 2014. I'd like to give out a special thank you also to Dave Lewis, who always keeps me inspired with his emails, and who made a special point to come and visit me at the Kaiser Wilys tent, which was fabulous, thanks to the Jeep Hunter, who set it us for
us...Two Midwest Willys Jeep Reunions and 4000 miles later, one truly understands what "Willys. Jeep. Life." is all about... Speaking of Willys Jeep Life, we'd like to thank Juan Lopez Badillo for his heartwarming emails and recounts of Willys Jeeps and their huge place in his family history, and Steve K, who always sends me the wildest things, including a Jeep that runs 40mph over water!
Filming the "Build Your Willys" series has been a challenge well worth taking on ~ currently we have four rolling chassis, a GPW, 2A, 3B & 5 in the shop, and a 3A, M38A1 and Rat Rod outside, each awaiting their turn. We've had our noses down and hands dirty, but we promise to give you more videos in 2014!
Last but not least, we'd like to thank all of you for supporting our Jeep Madness! "I've got a fever, and the only cure... is more Jeep"!!!!
Special Thanks from the Editor-In-Chief to the following for making this issue possible: Mike Meditz, Executive Producer, Jonah Hodgkins, Art Director, Amy Bodiford, Editor, David Matos, Editor.
"I received the new 2013 catalog yesterday (right before the big blizzard hit), and I must say I'm very impressed with all the new features, additional information on vehicle history, model specs, and customer photos. This catalog really is a Jeep encyclopedia in its own right, and has become a must-have reference for all owners of vintage Jeeps." ›› Michael Scoggins ›› 2013 Kaiser Willys Catalog
"Kaiserwillys rated #1 by me! You guys have been the best parts supplier for my 49' Willys. The starter drive you sold me was spot on - it fi t perfect and works great. I tried to save a buck somewhere else and it cost me an extra week of down time, return shipping costs, and when it was all done, the cheap buy cost me more. It won`t happen again, and thanks for the discount for being a return customer." ›› Dan Vetter ›› Kaiser Willys Parts and Service
"I would on behalf of the Norwegian Flatfender Fellows like to thank you once more for your great support to our gathering. The catalogs were well-read already this weekend and I talked to many who had spotted items they didn't know you had. As our only international and #1 sponsor, we let the great gift certifi cates you sent be the most appreciated prizes." ›› Daniel Clement ›› Event Coordinator
"Kaiser, I LOVE your website and catalog! I'm new to the Jeep family - just bought my fi rst Jeep in December. Your catalog is my encyclopedia! I've learned a lot about restoring just my digging through it." ›› Don Rumback ›› Kaiser Willys Website, Catalog
"I just received your catalog after I found the awesome website. I am blown away by both the website and the incredible catalog. I am so inspired now to get going on the restoration of my "MB" and CJ-2A. Thanks so much for this totally awesome and incredible resource for Jeep lovers!" ›› Dave Phillips ›› Kaiser Willys Website, Catalog
