Founder and boss of leading trade engine parts supplier Grampian Motors Jim Nicholson says: “We are at EXPO to meet our many hundreds of customers. I know we will do good business at the show – we always have!” Grampian Motors has embraced the post-1970 Japanese classic scene with two-stroke motocross and off-road models making up the biggest percentage of the business. It is also producing parts for more recent high- revving, four-stroke motocross bikes.

Created by Steve Cowburn, a trained chemist with 22 years in the chemicals industry, Pro-Green cleaning products and condition preservers have been created for bikes, quads, ATVs, mountain bikes and recreational vehicles. Cowburn, a committed motocross fan, became involved in the creation of cleaning fl uids for MX and other off-road activities through his friendship with MX rider Nigel Hewitt and son Callum, who also raced.


The products are sold in 1-litre cans ready to use, plus in concentrated form in 5-litre and 25-litre containers. With no sodium salts or aggressive cleaning agents in the new nine-part formula, soft plastic-based materials and rubber seals remain unaffected. Dealers getting on board will enjoy a 50%

611 FOWLERS OF BRISTOL Fowlers of Bristol, possibly the biggest supplier of


genuine replacement parts for Japanese brands in the UK, is majoring on Duchinni helmets for EXPO. Pre- show, it has added a new warehouse to its Bristol site to cope with growing stock levels in anticipation for 2014. Steve Phillips of Fowlers says: “We have taken over the importership of Duchinni and are looking for dealers to take the product. It is an excellent quality helmet and very keenly priced, from £79.99 to £119 retail. The new-for-2014 motocross helmet has a high specifi cation, looks great and should sell well.”


610 WULFSPORT INTERNATIONAL The ever-popular Bill Brown is showing his new range of


high spec’ ACU-approved motocross helmets. To be available in “early 2014”, they come in six colours and in sizes XS-XXL. As with all Brown’s offerings, “prices will be keen”.


Supporting off-road sport from grass roots to world level has certainly paid off for Wulfsport. As well as race shirts, pants and helmets, the Wulfsport clothing range includes the Alpina enduro/adventure riding suit, casual wear and other items that will appeal to road dealerships.


653 ATV SOLUTIONS


Swansea-based specialist quad parts manufacturer ATV Solutions is at EXPO looking for more dealers. Established 11 years and with a staff of 10, the company has a turnover in excess of £1.2m, 80 per cent from exports. Its growing range has come about as a result of company founder Gareth Porter’s involvement of working with quads in rural Wales and his interest in quad sport.


As well as manufacturing in-house, it imports starter motors, stators, regulators and other specialist components for both sports and utility quads.

Maxxis is rolling out its new business- to-business software and online ordering system at EXPO. Keen to keep on top in the computer age, it will be a sales aid to complement the eight area sales managers on the road who, as well as the fl ourishing Maxxis tyre business, have GS batteries, Motorex oils and D.I.D. chain in their portfolio – all top brands in the impressionable world that is off-road motorcycle sport.

profi le and increased business here through its involvement in sport sponsorship, including the Maxxis British Motocross Championship, with state-of-the-art tyres for motocross, enduro and dualsport.
