TECHNOLOGY IN ACTION
Robust magnetic encoders
OSITAL now covers the complete sensor spectrum for lift technology applications. The incremental encoders allow users to choose the number of pulses between 1 and 16,384 (14 Bit) and provide an accuracy of 12 Bit (0.09°). Available with protection classes up to IP69K, the units have a diameter of 36 or 58 mm. In addition, POSITAL also supplies magnetic absolute encoders that measure one revolution with a maximum resolution of 16 Bit and can cover up to 38 Bit for counting revolutions. Many models feature a CANopen interface with a lift application profile which completely fulfills the requirements of the DS-417 specification. Optionally, models with an SSI interface that enables the connection to all standard frequency inverters are also available. With both the incremental and absolute encoders, the underlying magnetic measuring principle allows for a very small footprint and a design that withstands even high bearing loads.

nick’s Portavo 904 (X) line of portable meters for pH values, conductivity, and oxygen feature an ATEX approval for zones 0 and
1, thereby allowing users to monitor process measuring points in hazardous areas. They support digital Memosens sensors as well as analog pH and conductivity sensors. Thanks to IP66/IP67 protection, they are suitable for use in rugged industrial environments. The integrated protective cover protects the display from scratches and damages, and also serves as benchtop stand. The new MemoLog function saves the calibration data of all Memosens measuring points and makes them available for the analysis of the sensor parameters. Data can be easily transferred to a PC via the integrated USB interface. The Paraly SW 112 software, which is included in delivery, allows users to easily store, display, document, print, and process measured values, calibration protocols, and calibration data.

PWM amplifier that achieves high stability and has an input voltage regulation of.3%. The series offer rise and fall time control of the test voltage and a stable output which is unaffected by mains voltage variations, plus the ability to select 50 or 60Hz test frequency. Upper and lower current limits can be set within the range of 0.01mA to 110mA in AC mode and 0.01mA to 11mA in DC mode. AC test voltage is settable from 0.05kV to 5kV. D.C test voltages can be varied from 0 to 6kV. All models will operate from any global AC input voltages and frequencies; and are equipped with a USB interface.

New Insight Survey software compliant with AMS 2750E
D
atapaq provides a certified temperature monitoring system for the civil and military aviation industry and suppliers who need to prove furnace compliance with AMS 2750E. New features make surveys and reports easy as never before. Parameters can be saved for future surveys. An overshoot alarm and three selectable alerts are available for stability calculation. The updated software applies rounding according to ASTM E29 to fully comply with revision E. Data traceability is guaranteed. The new Insight Survey version enables complete AMS 2750E documentation – just one click generates a full report plus access is password-protected. The hottest and coldest points are highlighted on the display and in the report. The time between the first and last thermocouple entering the lower tolerance band is calculated automatically. Users can define longer intervals and shorter reports to facilitate analysis and archiving. Reports can be exported as PDF files for easy sharing.

STROTHMANN installs largest RoundTrack network
TROTHMANN Machines & Handling has received a record order for RoundTracks. A network of nearly 5 kilometers is being installed in the Shanghai factory of an escalator manufacturer – the longest line of tracks in one contract so far. The project furthermore includes more than 170 trolleys which will be used to transport parts weighing up to 15 tons between the assembly stations. STROTHMANN’s intra-logistics system enables the energy-efficient transport of heavy goods. A number of drive technologies are available, but loads of several tons can even be moved by hand.
