[NEWS] U.S. ANTI-DOPING AGENCY

USA WEIGHTLIFTING VALUES CLEAN SPORT, AND IS OPPOSED TO THE USE OF PERFORMANCE-ENHANCING DRUGS.

The U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) is the in- dependent, national anti-doping organization for Olympic, Paralympic, Pan American and Parapan American sport in the United States since its incep- tion in 2000. USADA has worked to preserve the in- tegrity of competition, inspire true sport and protect the rights of clean athletes. With the vision to be the guardian of the values and life lessons learned through true sport, USADA’s an- ti-doping programs are comprehensive and include in-competition and out-of-competition testing; re- sults management and adjudication; drug reference resources and therapeutic use exemption process; scientific research initiatives; and athlete outreach

education. USADA continues to work on efforts to improve its program systems as well as anti-doping endeavors globally, and to build, foster and advance a culture of sport that supports clean athletes, the health of future athletes and the integrity of sport. USADA offers a wealth of resource for athletes, coaches, parent and other athlete-support team members interested in anti-doping information per- taining to the drug testing process; prohibited sub- stances, medication, and therapeutic use exemp- tion; dietary supplement information, whereabouts responsibilities, as well as the results management and adjudication process.
