In devices such as headsets, the basic design constraint on the battery is the requirement to provide an energy capacity of around 50mAh while being small and light enough to be worn in or near the ear. Coin Power technology can meet such constraints.


The cells feature a new coiled-electrode construction which makes far more efficient use


of the space inside the casing.


These cells provide up to 30% increase in Energy Density and can deliver 1000 cycles, compared to 300-500 cycles from comparable products. At the same time, the metal case eliminates the risk of swelling, which is common amongst Li-Pol cells.


Coin Power cells require only a standard circuit protection IC, available at very low cost and CC/CV circuitry is required for charging, reference designs are available.
