Phil Gaffer Premier Sport


Sean Muff The Original Poster Company


Sean Muff has joined the Original Poster Company (OPC) team as business development manager for the North. He has


experience in the greeting cards and franchise industry, gleaned from working as a franchise manager for Card Connections. He said: “When the opportunity arose to join OPC, it seemed liked the perfect next step for me. From my previous experience, I knew that OPC offers great products that complement other ranges and provides retailers with a unique offer in the marketplace.


“I have 25 franchisees in my region and am looking forward to the challenge to further develop their sales and increase their profitability. I have met a lot of them during regional meetings over the last few weeks … Having put names to faces, I am now excited to motivate everyone to drive sales to make the North the top OPC region.”


Steve Felmingham Banana Moon Day Nursery


Former managing consultant with The Franchising Centre, Steve Felmingham has joined the board of one of the UK’s


fastest-growing new franchisors, Banana Moon Day Nursery Ltd. Steve is approaching 20 years in franchising having been a franchisee, franchisor, international master franchisee, and franchise consultant. Utilising all of this previous experience, Steve was instrumental in the original


development of the Banana Moon franchise model. In the two and a half years since launching, Banana Moon have 10 franchised nurseries open and trading and a further 19 territories reserved, with franchisees at various stages of preparing their premises for opening.


Banana Moon’s managing director Mark Bates said: “We are building a support team we think will be unrivalled in our sector, and are ready to take Banana Moon to the next level. Steve is a fundamental part of this and we are delighted to have him on board.”


Michael Biggins Just Falafel


Michael Biggins has been appointed chief executive officer for Just Falafel for the UK and Ireland. Previously, he ran a


consulting practice and helped luxury London florist Only Roses expand through franchising. He has a wealth of experience in food services and restaurant franchises across the globe. As chief executive of the Kout Food Group in Kuwait he was responsible for 175 restaurants, including Burger King, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell. He said: “This is an extremely exciting role to take on at such a busy time for the organisation in the UK and further afield. Not only are we getting an amazing amount of interest from potential franchisees, but are also busy right now developing new menu items, a suite of new restaurant interiors and brand architecture, potential brand partnerships and a full marketing programme to support the outlets and the brand in the UK.”


Phil Gaffer has joined Premier Sport as franchise recruitment manager. For over 13 years, he has worked in a range of franchise support roles


ranging from business development manager to franchise director. In addition to this, he was re-elected as bfa regional chair for the South West late last year. Phil said: “I am really excited about joining the Premier Sport team, bringing my franchise recruitment experience and knowledge to the proposition. I will be responsible for the continued expansion of the Premier Sport franchise network by awarding Premier Sport franchises to talented individuals who wish to grow a successful business through their passion for sport.”


Maggie Seager The Creation Station


Maggie Seager is now head of franchise awards after she was


recommended to The Creation Station for the


role. She worked previously as a deputy team manager for Aviva, and as a fee earner for a solicitor.


She hopes to grow The Creation Station’s franchisee base to at least 400 in the UK over the next few years. She said: “I was drawn to the Creation Station as is it is so in line with my own values. I’m fortunate in my role as I get to speak with lots of great people and help them look at options to achieve the success that they want in their life. I know that if the Creation Station had been around when my children were younger I would have loved to run it. Our team of franchisees say it feels like a family and its true – it’s everything I could have dreamt of in a career.”
