How to contribute to global sustainability Go Green in the City helps students kick-start their global careers

Making energy accessible and efficient for all is the strategy at the heart of this year’s Schneider Electric™

Go Green in the City

competition that calls for students to create an energy solution for a smarter city.

In its third year, this international competition has expanded to include participation from business and engineering students from 19 countries, reflecting the growing importance of global energy efficiency. Aside from the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to travel to different parts of the world, competition winners can catapult their careers at Schneider Electric.

Get recognized for your idea Now, business and engineering students from all over the world are teaming up (each team must contain at least one female member) on intelligent energy solutions that will impact future city populations.

The top 100 teams will work closely with mentors from Schneider Electric to develop a business case for their energy solution for a smarter city.

From June 27–28, finalists will gather in Paris to present their cases to a panel of judges and participate in workshops on career development, women and leadership, and sustainable development.

Network with industry thought leaders Last year, Igor Soares and Marcellye Miranda from Brazil won the Go Green in the City 2012 competition with their idea for an integrated solution to reduce energy use and waste for a large residential apartment complex. They travelled in first-class settings to international Schneider Electric offices.
