CHALLENGE GRANTS UPDATE & NEW CHALLENGE!


In 2012, the United States Olympic Com-


mittee (USOC) announced the “Challenge Grants” Program. They would match dol- lar-for-dollar raised by USA Weightlifting through donations. Through the generosity of the USA Weightlifting family, a total of $34,627 was raised and used for athlete sup- port and travel. This year, the USOC has brought forth a


new ‘challenge’ for USA Weightlifting; the USOC will match new gifts up to $35,000, but USA Weightlifting must raise $35,000 to


receive the total match. At time of publica- tion we’ve raised $12,500. Remember,

Weightlifting is excited to be a part of a cus- tomer service training pilot program offered by the Team USA Academy of Learning & Leadership through the U.S. Olympic Com- mittee. Because of our relationship with the USOC, the cost incurred by USA Weightlift- ing is zero.

external customer service principles and practices. We hope through our efforts to increase your satisfaction with the services we provide.
