What are your favourite stylist tricks?

I like to explore the unexpected by combining different textures and fabrics, canvas with brocade, chunky knits with leather, sequins with denim. Myleene has a great lace body con dress that I think would look great dressed down with a beaten up biker jacket. Her lace beach cover up would look just as good in town over a vest with jeans.

What’s the best part of your job?

I love working as part of a larger creative team, the photographer, stylist, hair and make-up artist all have something to contribute and it’s great seeing a fashion shoot develop from initial idea to a fi nished page.

Who are your style inspirations?

I’m mostly inspired by places rather than faces but Kate Moss never ceases to amaze and Steve McQueen and Paul Newman were spiffy dudes.

Have you got any favourite pieces from Myleene’s latest collection?

This season her print pieces are particularly strong! Myleene’s bird print tea dress is a great way to rock the monochrome trend and I really rate the button back printed blouse for it’s nostalgic placement print and striking colour block sleeves.

And fi nally...do you have one key tip for looking fab on the beach?

Forget the rules and be confi dent because Myleene’s collection has pieces for all shapes and sizes. Use the beach to experiment with print and colour and never underestimate the power of oversized shades!

Thanks Nick!
