Fanuc CNCs Offer New Tools Fanuc FA America’s Series 30i/31i/32i- MODEL B CNCs offers new predictive and preventative maintenance tools for motors and fans. The latest Fanuc amplifiers are now able to record the winding resistance and predict when the motor will fail. This allows maintenance personnel to order a motor in advance and change the motor when it is conve- nient for them. The ability to monitor the speed of each fan in the amplifier and the CNC can also prevent a failure. On the CNC and servo amplifiers that are contained within the magnetics cabinet, heat is the largest cause of failure. Fa- nuc uses cooling fans to cool electronic components. A failure of the cooling fan can cause a failure of the CNC. By monitoring the speed of each fan that is in the CNC and amplifier, Fanuc is able to judge when the fan will fail enabling maintenance personnel to do mainte- nance at their convenience. Jorgenson Conveyers Announces Newest Conveyor
The new MunchMan® hinged steel belt conveyor is designed specifically to handle heavy chip loads and large stringy chips and balls of chips gener- ated in milling and turning applications where high work piece stock removal rates exist. The MunchMan® hinged steel belt conveyor employs a unique stacked conveyor arrangement at the lower curve and through the incline and chip discharge of the system. Chips are effectively compressed and trapped until they are forced off the discharge end of the conveyor. Jorgenson Conveyors, Inc. Ph: 262-242-3089 Web site: www.jorgensenconveyors.com
