Alcoa Wins Long-Term Gas Turbine Parts Contract Alcoa Power and Propulsion


(APP), New York, has signed a long- term agreement with Siemens Energy to supply investment-cast blades and vanes for a wide range of industrial gas turbines. Siemens Energy is one of the world’s leading suppliers of products, solutions and services in the energy technology fi eld. Contract terms were not disclosed. Alcoa parts made in the U.S.


and Europe will be used in, among others, the Siemens F-Class turbine which generates enough power to supply the energy needs of a city of 300,000 residents. According to Allen Zwierzchowski,
