The widely acclaimed Footwear Industry
Awards 2012 was a sell out event. The hottest ticket in town, there were even people queuing up for tickets on the night! We are very pleased, therefore, to be able to accommodate a much bigger guest list for the 2013 event at a brand new venue. Organised by Datateam Business Media, in
association with the British Footwear Association (BFA), Independent Footwear Retailers Association (IFRA), Society of Shoe Fitters and Footwear Today magazine, the Footwear Industry Awards will again be held on the first night of the Moda Footwear Show, Sunday 17th February 2013, but this time at the National Motorcycle Museum. The highly coveted Footwear Brand of the Year
award is to be sponsored by Moda itself. Sean O'Connor, Event Director said: "Moda Footwear is happy to support the Footwear Industry Awards once again next year. There is a real synergy between the national awards ceremony and the trade's national footwear exhibition, and we are looking forward to joining the industry once again for another great night of celebrations and accolades." Garvalin is sponsoring Best Independent
Children’s Retailer. UK Agent Nick West commented: "Garvalin were so delighted at how well the 2012 Awards were organised (and thrilled to win Brand of the Year!), that we wanted to offer our support again next year. There are few notable dates in the shoe trade calendar and little recognition for small independent retailers who are vitally important to the industry, so this event manages to unite

everyone both large and small, creating a fun, glitzy event that is worth dressing up for. Tying it into the main UK footwear exhibition moda was a great idea as few of us have the time or money to waste attending two separate events, and with a change of venue where the surroundings and refreshments are excellent, it will guarantee a good night out for everyone. We are all winners! Hope to see you there." Chatham Marine is to sponsor The Platinum

Beverley Green, Group Sales Manager, said: "Out on a Limb is delighted and honoured to be supporting The Footwear Industry Awards once again. Good luck to all nominees and we look forward to meeting the winners at one of the most prestigious occasions in the footwear industry calendar." Retail Technology is to sponsor Best Use of

He said: "The awards evening was a huge success, being supported by both the suppliers and retailers alike. Rieker is proud to continue its association with the Footwear Industry Awards for 2013 in its new venue at the National Motorcycle Museum. It is generally a challenging time in the Footwear trade and this evening is a chance for all aspects of the Footwear Industry to come together, let their “hair down” and to acknowledge those companies and individuals who have excelled in their area of expertise."
