The Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program, funded under the federal Ryan White HIV/AIDS Treatment Modernization Act, helps low-income people with HIV who have little or no insurance access for medical care. For information, go to http://hab.hrsa.gov/.


Ryan White Part A funds services in the Metro Atlanta area including Barrow, Bartow, Carroll, Cherokee, Clayton, Cobb, Coweta, DeKalb, Douglas, Fayette, Forsyth, Fulton, Gwinnett, Henry, Newton, Paulding, Pickens, Rockdale, Spalding, and Walton. Services include medical care, medications, case management, dental care, mental health counseling, substance abuse treatment, and support services. Ryan White Part B funds services throughout Georgia. Part B supports ambulatory care, dental services, medications, medical case management, and support services such as emergency financial assistance, housing assistance, translation services, and more. Ryan White Part C supports outpatient HIV early intervention services and ambulatory care. Grants are awarded directly to approximately 15 agencies statewide. For more information, go to http://hab.hrsa.gov/.


Ryan White Part F supports the AIDS Education and Training Center Program (including SEATEC, the publisher of Key Contacts), Dental Programs, and Special Projects of National Significance (SPNS).


The AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP) is a state-administered program that provides HIV medications to low-income individuals who have little or no coverage from private or third-party insurance. An individual must apply in person for ADAP services and an application must be completed during a face-to-face interview at a designated ADAP/HICP enrollment site. The Health Insurance Continuation Program (HICP) assists eligible persons with HIV who are unable to pay their health insurance premiums. This special program pays a maximum monthly health insurance premium of $1,100, which may include a spouse and children on a family health insurance plan, as well as dental and vision. HICP services are available to all eligible residents of Georgia who meet the criteria for enrollment.
