LAKELAND, FL POLICE DEPARTMENT – Sgt. Marshall Lord submitted this old photo from 1953 taken in front of the Lakeland, FL Police Dept. The officers’ names are noted at the bottom. The third officer from the left is Marshall’s grandfather, Gordon. He served with the Lakeland Police Dept. from 1950 to 1979 and retired as a Major. Marshall’s dad, Gene Lord, is a retired Polk County, FL Deputy Sheriff (34 years of service) and is currently employed at LPD. Marshall is a Sergeant with Lakeland Police Dept. for the past 17 years.
