Its large sprays of pearl pink, fragrant blos- soms are produced with abandon beginning in late spring followed by respectable repeat bloom throughout the summer. (Plant Patent #18740, Var: WEKpurosot) Robust canes that rise 10 to 14 feet demonstrate the impressive health and vigor of Night Owl™, but the bloom color, almost black-purple, is what truly distinguishes this beauty from any other climber. Ruffl ed, sweetly fragrant fl ow- ers borne in clusters come on quickly, last long, and hold their dramatic color. When new canes erupt from this fabulous climber, they are covered with striking, rusty-color leaves that mature to a clean, grayish-green shade.
