KIT FOCUS PEN range gets mightier
Cutting edge technology from the O-MD E-M5 has been incorporated into two new PENs, making them the most advanced Olympus CSCs to date. Both the E-PL5 (PEN Lite) and E-PM2 (PEN mini) feature a combination of the O-MD’s Live MOS sensor and TruePic VI image processor. The result is a dynamic PEN duo that delivers super fast autofocus speeds and outstanding picture quality.

TURNING ON THE STYLUS
The primary difference between the two models is the E-PL5’s tiltable touchscreen rear LCD. In most other aspects, they’re identical – in-body Image Stabilisation to reduce camera shake, 12 Art Filters for creativity and a direct wireless link to social media sites for sharing images via a smartphone.

Turning on the Stylus Olympus used Photokina to announce that all of its compacts will now come under the Stylus brand banner, then promptly introduced the Stylus XZ-2 as the new flagship for the range. Much like the XZ-1 it supersedes, the XZ-2 has a bright f/1.8 lens and a DSLR level of control, but also a touchscreen LCD and compatibility with FlashAir that shares images on social media sites.
