The unit appears to be a normal ‘trail camera’ but inside is a slot for a GSM SIM card. When the unit is triggered, it actually takes two pictures. The first is a high resolution (1, 5 or 12 megapixels). The second is a low res (320 x 240 or 640x480) which is sent as an email or even an MMS text message. The unit operates on 8 AA batteries for a estimated 2 week run time, or has an external 6 V power connection.
