INTERNATIONAL Sites, Cities, and Services Monterrey, Mexico ‘The City of Mountains’

Monterrey is vibrant, tireless, and multifac- eted — a city where sophistication goes hand- in-hand with folk traditions. Its wide range of museums, parks, restaurants, bars, shopping malls, and exclusive stores; its love of soc- cer and baseball; its exciting music and art production; and its shows and nightlife make this a metropolis that never fails to fascinate. Monterrey is also a powerful industrial city, a driving force for Mexico’s national economy, and a cultural epicenter — for which it has been dubbed “La Sultana del Norte” (“The Sultaness of the North”). Ready and prepared to host your events, CINTERMEX is considered to be one of the most important venues in the north of Mexi- co. It is located 25 minutes from the Mariano Escobedo International Airport, inside the Fundidora Park, and is surrounded by 450 connected rooms. CINTERMEX has more than 20 years of experience with more than 11,000 hosted events since its opening.

CINTERMEX has three main concepts:

• •

What is Fundidora Park? Located in the heart of Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Fundidora Park is the first public urban sustainable park in the north of the Mexican Republic. Recognized as a Museum of Indus- trial Archeology in 2011, Fundidora Park is

a living testimony of the history of Monter- rey — a cultural heritage of the state in which nature, tradition, and culture coexist to bring joy to the community. Located inside the for- mer Monterrey Foundry property, visitors can now appreciate the 27 remaining indus- trial pieces, which include two blast furnaces, buildings, chimneys, and 127 smaller pieces that are distributed along the gardens and pathways of the park. The park’s surface of 142 hectares pro-

vides visitors with diverse areas for rest, recreation, and socializing, a place for mul- tifaceted activities such as sports and enter- tainment, as well as economic and cultural events of all kinds.
