POSSIBLY the most successful DJ/producer from the current burgeoning Spanish Armada of producers is Uner, whose melodic, driving house sound has won him fans such as Carl Cox, Laurent Garnier and Luciano; all of whom play his releases.


As well as DJing and producing, 30-something Uner has recently started doing a live show that he’s been taking all over the world. “In my DJ sets I’m still using an iPad, Traktor Midi controller and timecode and vinyl, sometimes,” he tells DJ Mag. “For the live set, I use three iPads, Ableton Live Midi controllers and a little


synth for the melodies. I would like to perform a live show with more hardware, but now I prefer to focus on being more musical, rather than bringing more machines to my shows.”


Anyone who’s heard Uner releases such as ‘Bassboot’ EP, ‘Raw Sweat’, the ‘Universe’ EP on Visionquest – included in his Beatport chart - and his low-slung, tech-tinged house cut ‘Labaneria’ will be pleased to hear that as well as working on fresh material for Cadenza and Diynamic, he is working on an album.
