or decades tens of thousands of modelers have flocked to the WRAM Show and the Weak Sig- nals Expo much better known as
the Toledo Show. It’s obviously the latest models and assorted accessories that bring them most of all, but there has always been an extra special bonus that seems one of
the real highlights of each show—the static display. Lined up in a healthy assortment that al-
ways seems to crowd the display tables and leave little room for more, these are the ex- amples of some of what is being shown by the exhibitors, but even more so these mod- els are the real hallmark of modeling: excel-
lent craftsmanship. While they range from planes, to boats and ships, to cars and mili- tary vehicles, it is far and away the planes that are the most numerous and most var- ied. They’re small, they’re big. They’re sim- ple, they’re complex. They’re brilliantly col- orful, they’re subtly exquisite. All in all, they’re wonderful.
