Richard Angell has been appointed as a business development manag- er at Masthaven Bridging Finance. He will be responsible for man- aging existing relationships and develop new ones in the West Mid- lands, South Wales and the South West. He joins from a background that includes working for former packagers Praxis and em-financial.


United Trust Bank has recruited Sharon Liddle as deposits man- ager. Liddle will be responsible for managing the loan and deposit administration department and will lead the co-ordination and implementation of deposit raising campaigns and the marketing of new deposit products.

ABOVE LONDON Towering above London’s West End, United Trust Bank held a scenic soiree 19 storeys above the capital’s bustle for the hard working members of the bridging industry. Overlooking the Queen’s residence at Buckingham Palace and with a view of the seat of government, bridging brokers indulged in mysterious red and green shots and tried their hand at javelin throwing on a pair of Microsoft games consoles with varying degrees of success.


Needless to say, if the simulation is to be believed, the bridging industry has hidden talent tucked away with some individuals throwing 90m+ distances that would easily secure them a gold medal at this year’s Olympics. On the other hand, Bridging Introducer was able to bear witness to some equally dismal attempts at spear throwing with Danny Churchill, director at Pure Funding Solutions, being able to chuck his javelin onto the, well, fl oor. More Olympic dope than gold.


THE FAST AND THE FINCORP Bridging fi nance lender Fincorp completed a bridging loan for a client in just 48 hours. The lender received a request for a sizeable loan from property acquisition specialists London and District. The client needed the money quickly in order to complete a deal and Fincorp was able to agree to the deal and release the funds to the client within two days. Mark Smith, managing director, London and District Housing, said: “London and District have been using Fincorp since the early 1990’s and it has always provided speedy service with its transactions.”

TRAVELLER, MESSY PACKER It was a curious day for the UPS delivery boys when West One’s Andrew Mossack was in town. As the savvy marketing director gallivanted around the United States he left a trail of calling cards in the form of... his clothes. At one location Mossack left two pairs of trousers in his hotel room. Then Mossack upped his game leaving behind three pairs of underwear, two shirts and a pair of socks.


“UPS made three separate deliveries that day – all to


me,” Mossack told B2F. “I understand that is something of a record.” Perhaps Mossack has gone a bridge too far for this record.
