Take a (school) trip down memory lane – and win prizes worth over £1,000!
Most teachers have memories of school trips they’ve taken part in, whether it’s a day trip to a museum or a week-long activity somewhere exotic. Your memories may be fond ones, or perhaps you break out in a cold sweat each time you think about that week with year 11 in the Alps. Either way, The Teacher would like to hear them!
There are prizes worth over £1,000 to be won in the NUT/Countdown writing competition. Simply send us 500 words about your school trip.
First prize: A self-catering weekend break for two with cottages4u.
Second prize: £200 Superbreaks gift voucher.
Third prize: A Kindle
Entries will be judged by NUT General Secretary Christine Blower, writer Alan Gibbons and The Teacher editors Dorota Brockbank and Elyssa Campbell-Barr. The winning entry will be published in the September issue of The Teacher.
