Making a difference
Pensord raises £9,866 for two fantastic causes
Two cheques have been presented recently to charitable causes, following a year when the Pensord Charity Team has been refreshed and enthused.
Andrew Richards,
Hospice of the Valleys receives a cheque for £5,809
The fruits of the team’s labour are already being seen with vital funds raised by a St. David’s Day cake sale, a Christmas prize draw raffle and sponsored head shave! This money, together with money donated by staff in lieu of sending Christmas cards, Pensord’s £ per quote initiative and a donation from profits, is now certainly making a difference.
A cheque for £5,809 was handed to Andrew Richards, Chief Executive of the Hospice of the Valleys, who are celebrating their 21st year of providing hospice care in Blaenau Gwent.
A further donation of £4,057 was presented to Laura Hooper, Fundraising Manager for Cancer Research Wales. Laura said “We are sincerely grateful to Pensord for their phenomenal support over the last year. Our mission is to give hope to those affected by cancer, by providing pioneering research here in Wales. With Pensord’s help we are making a difference.”
