T e Bibles we purchase go mostly to the county jail, which houses about 600 inmates and which is where I have worked as chaplain for about 28 years. I like this Bible because it has large print, which the inmates love, and it is one of the least expensive on the market. When we give Bibles to the inmates, I like to present the salvation message and then follow up by giving Bibles to those who accept the Lord, or who want to know more. It is a mission fi eld that I hope to see more churches
enter into and begin working. T e addictions you see in there can be healed only by the
work of the Holy Spirit. As for those who eventually get out of jail, all we can do is to commit them into the hands of God Almighty and hope that someone else will come along to pick up the discipleship where we have left off . We all have a piece in this process, and I know that this small piece is mine.
