Have you recovered fully from all the ankle madness, your surgery and everything?
I’m finally healed up to where I can start to get back to
where I was at before the injury. From here I’m just trying to skate and have fun until I feel comfortable enough on my board to get back on the streets and filming.
How did you stay busy while you were hurt? I was busy trying to get better the whole time.
It was a pretty long process. Doing a lot of work on Grizzly took up a lot of time, too. It was a good
opportunity for me to kind of make a lot of moves for the company to grow. Other than that I just watched a lot of skate videos and tried to stay skate positive. I’ve been going to a lot of skate events and checking out demos so its been cool.
I’m looking at the Torey 2 right now and it looks sick! How did this come about?
Once again I was just psyched to have the opportunity to get a signature shoe, and having the second one come so quick is more than an honor. We went with
a low-top this time, its inspired really by a boat shoe, but as soon as you put it on your foot it’s clear that it’s fully a skate functional shoe.
Was there anything in particular that you really wanted on there? I wanted to really have a look that DVS hasn’t had before
and bring something new to the DVS line. I also wanted to
have something low to the ground, something you can chill at the beach with and skate in the same day.
What’s next for you, what are you focusing on?
I’m just focusing on having fun, just keeping things going, and working on the full length Plan B video.
