Circuit protection from TE Connectivity

TE Circuit Protection offers the widest selection of surface-mount device (SMD) fuses available for addressing a broad array of overcurrent protection applications. Helping to prevent costly damage and promote a safe environment for electronic and electrical equipment, our single-use chip fuses provide performance stability to support designs covering a wide range of current ratings. TE Circuit Protection’s broad offering of RoHS-compliant surface-mount fuses offers strong arc suppression characteristics and facilitates the development of more reliable, high-performance consumer electronics. These include laptops, multimedia devices, cell phones, and other portable electronics.

veRy Fast-actIng Fuses

Our newest fuse offerings include 2410SVF very fast-acting, wire-in-air (WIA) SMD fuses, which are suitable for secondary-level overcurrent protection; and our 0603 very fast-acting chip fuses, which provide the highest hold current in the smallest footprint available on the market. Our 2410 very fast-acting fuses have one of the highest I2t ratings in the industry. The new 2410SVF fuse family features current ratings from .5A up to 20A. Rated for operation at temperatures ranging from -55˚C up to 125˚C, the fuses’ high-inrush current withstand capability minimizes nuisance tripping during

transient overload conditions. As SMD fuses, they provide a rugged, single-piece package that speeds assembly time and is compatible with standard pick-and-place SMD processes. Additionally, the 2410-SFV fuses’ structure minimizes the risk of the end cap of the device becoming dislodged, a feature not offered by most competitive devices.

The 0603 very fast-acting family of chip fuses help provide overcurrent protection on systems using DC power sources up to 63VDC. The fuses’ monolithic multilayer design reduces diffusion-related aging, improves product reliability and resilience, and enhances high- temperature performance in a wide range of circuit designs.

hIgh-cuRRent-Rated chIP Fuses The monolithic multilayer design of our high-current-rated chip fuses helps to provide some of the highest current ratings available in the 1206-size package and enhances high- temperature performance in a wide range of circuit protection designs. The devices’ small size, high reliability and strong arch suppression characteristics make them suitable

for overcurrent protection of power supplies, servers, communications equipment, voltage regulator modules, and other high-current, small-size applications.

slow-blow chIP Fuses

Available in industry standard 1206 and 0603 sizes, TE Circuit Protection’s slow-blow chip fuses help provide overcurrent protection on systems that experience large and frequent current surges as part of their normal operation. These systems include motor systems, portable electronics, test equipment, Power Over Ethernet (PoE) equipment, displays, printers and computer drives.

Pulse-toleRant chIP Fuses

Pulse-tolerant chip fuses provide high inrush current withstand capability and overcurrent protection in DC power systems. The fuses’ monolithic, multilayer design also provides the highest hold current in the smallest footprint, reduces diffusion-related aging, improves product reliability and resilience, and enhances high-temperature performance in a wide range of circuit designs.
