War Veteran, ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Winner to Keynote 2012 STN Expo If you haven’t already heard, this year’s STN Expo will feature a keynote address by war hero turned
actor J.R. Martinez, who was the winner of ABC’s season 13 “Dancing with the Stars” this past fall. Martinez, known for his recurring role on the recently cancelled ABC soap opera “All My Children,” played a small but important role in the 123rd annual Tournament of Roses parade this year serving as grand marshal. Martinez’s personal experiences resonated with this year’s Rose Parade theme, “Just Imagine,” celebrating the power of imagination, inspiration and determination to encourage people to reach higher and try harder. Martinez’s life experiences also resonate with the STN Expo’s theme of “Te
Great Opportunity,” as the title of his presentation is “Accelerate Your Success into 3-D: Desire, Dedication & Discipline.” Read about Martinez and his rise to fame at

latest issues about the big yellow school bus, child safety and other related issues in our online STN Blog section. Head over to
www.stnonline.com/blogs, where you’ll find a listing of our blogs. Read from contributors such as Washington state school bus driver Christie Smith, who explained in a recent entry why she also considers herself a “Bus Mom,” and Darrel Christie, assistant manager at Brown Bus Company in Nampa, Idaho, who recently reminded bus drivers why they need to be the best role models they can be. Additionally, each Friday the STN editors post a blog roundup that includes bits of news items that occurred during the week and caught our attention.
