Open Spaces Discover Newquay’s wide open spaces like the glorious Pentire Headland with its spectacular views over Fistral Beach and Crantock Bay. Closer to town there are footpaths across the Golf Links to Towan Head – a perfect picnic spot. Sit back, relax and enjoy summer concerts on the central
green Killacourt. Take a walk along Narrowcliff and Barrowfields and marvel at the scenery of Lusty Glaze and the spectacular Porth Headland. Look out too for the Town’s new Piazza – a tiered outdoor
space just opposite the new cinema – great for music and arts events at any time during your stay. Make time for Trenance Gardens and Leisure Park with its
boating lake, fountain, restaurant, miniature railway, bowling green, tennis centre, crazy golf, pitch and putt, children’s playground, Wooden Waves skate park and Waterworld swimming pool.
Walking on Pentire, Newquay
Nightlife Like most seaside towns Newquay has a vibrant nightlife with a range of clubs and bars as well as restaurants and take-away treats from almost every corner of the world. Newquay welcomes visitors throughout the year who behave responsibly and respect our town, residents and other visitors. Anyone behaving in an unacceptable way will be challenged under the towns strict no nonsense approach to anti social behaviour and under age drinking. Newquay’s “No ID – No Newquay” now applies to
anyone who is, or looks, under 25. Newquay takes great pride in its reputation as a place to enjoy good times with friends and family by day and by night.
Shopping Newquay’s shopping centre is a high street like no other, stretching the entire length of the town and dotted with individual and specialist local shops, restaurants and cafes as well as national names. There’s an abundance of surf shops and boutiques and to add that extra spice there are also restaurants, cafes and boutiques bordering some of the beaches. Newquay also has a shopping village in the town. Don’t forget to visit the Chester Road shops for local produce and easy parking.
