JUSTICE ‘ON‘N’ON’ ED BANGER

LIKE Ariston, Justice keep going on and on and not even a wait of Stone Roses proportions for their sophomore album has dampened the enthusiasm of fans. With a new sound that delves even deeper into their soft rock infl uences (anyone remember their lost Fabric mix from a few years ago?), ‘On’n’On’ continues

their enviable run of tripped-out videos, fl ying through multiple realities, plus the landscape of nudie ladies and skulls. Lots of skulls. Out on February 27th, a whole bunch of remixes from Brodinski, Erol Alkan, Rick Rubin, Tiga and Video Village mean that it’s also likely to be noising up a disco near you soon.

X-PRESS 2 DJWEEKLY PODCAST #71

FROM ‘Muzik Xpress’ to ‘Lazy’, X-Press 2, aka London duo Rocky and Diesel (having parted ways with fellow founding member Ashley Beedle), have had a consistent hand in guiding London’s house scene since the early ‘90s. Out this week on Skint, new album ‘The House Of X-Press 2’ is a snapshot of their current standing, mixing the modern and vintage in fine style with the help of guests including Tim Deluxe, Roland

Clarke and James Yuill. Packing their podcast with deep house supremos such as Dixon and Jimpster and the percussive tech-house shuffle of Guti and Hermanez next to their own joints, it brings to life their distinctive vision of how to dress a four-four beat and lays open the sound that you can regularly hear touring the world.
