THE man known as Markus Ferdinand to his mates and M.in to the world (using the ‘M’ from Markus and the ‘in’ from Ferdinand, see?) has been on our radar for some time now with his killer, groovy tech-house singles gracing the likes of Play It Down, Trapez and Desolat. On new album ‘A Matter Of Taste’ (out on Yellow Tale in March) he steps up a gear, teaming up with fellow producer and accomplished musician Christian Vogt to add a whole new organic depth to his sound and set the stage for

a world tour that will see him performing on four CDJs.

His own recent ‘Please, bring me cake!’ for Global Underground makes his Beatport chart but otherwise it’s a spread bet of some of house music’s furthest, finest moments, from Tiga’s grimy remix of Jamie Lidell to Riton’s 808 clap-happy ‘Walk On Water’, Derrick Carter’s boompty bounce of Hercules a & Love Affair’s ‘My House’ to Ian Pooley and Spencer Parker’s bubblin’ ‘Acid Roulete’.
