Who Can Apply Successful candidates usually possess or expect to obtain a First or a good Upper Second Class Honours degree in psychology from a British university, or its equivalent from an overseas institution.We alsowelcome applications from graduates whose initial training has been in a cognate discipline. Students for whom English is not a native language may be asked to provide evidence of their proficiency in English. Students wishing to apply for the Diploma or Masters courses should ensure that they meet the following minimum requirements: IELTS 7.0 or above.Minimum of 7.0 in writing component required for most programmes. TOEFL Paper based: 580-600. Computer based: 237-250, (depending on course applied for). Internet-based 90-100. Cambridge CPE Grade C, Cambridge CAE Grade B, O Level/GCSE Grade C. See:

Students are required to apply using the University’s application form. In addition to the completed application form, the School requires:
• An up-to-date curriculum vitae including research interests. • A recent example of your writtenwork (for example, an essay of approximately 2,000words). • A passport-size photograph (for reference only). • Two referees’ reports. • Atranscriptandevidenceofexisting qualification (forexample, a copy of yourdegreecertificate).
Financing Studies While some candidates are able to make their own financial arrangements, either privately or with the help of overseas government agencies, several sources of support are available to cover or contribute to fees and personal maintenance for postgraduate students.
