“As an Australian who comes from Perth, one of the most isolated cities in the world, the idea of studying in St Andrews was both daunting and exciting. My decision to come here was based on a travel programme that I saw back home. The cosmopolitan setting, the proximity to mainland Europe and an abundance of history convinced me that this was an opportunity that I simply couldn’t miss…and I haven’t been let down. St Andrews, as a small town with so many different nationalities and experiences, allows students to experience the social and academic life that the University has to offer on a personal level. For Australians, these opportunities are an important way to see a different world, to go beyond the borders of our huge island and to experience life on an international platform.”
