ceremony took place at the Hilton
Birmingham
metropole on the 24th november. the event was a huge success and had the largest attendance since 2004, with over 530 attending the gala dinner. entertainment came from the real thing, most famous for their seventies hit “You to me are everything” who started the party atmosphere off and had the audience singing along and crowding the dance floor. the comedian Simon
evans best known from his appearances on “mock the Week” and his work with michael mcintyre and armando ianucchi, as well has his regular work on radio 4, did a fantastic set that had the audience in hysterics with his risqué material. there were 10 awards this
year, rewarding the hard work that nacFB patrons had put in during 2011. the awards are voted for purely by the nacFB membership, so give an interesting insight in to who the membership views as the most supportive funders and patrons throughout 2011. the day also managed to raise over £7,000 for Breast cancer care a very worthwhile charity that helps and supports people affected with
the disease. Philma Bischoff, a representative of the charity, gave a superb speech on how the money raised helps and the devastation that the disease can cause. the raphaelites closed the
evening with a storming set of live music with sixties and seventies hits that had the dance floor packed once again. after the music had finished, many revellers filtered in to the hotel bar to carry on the celebrations! all in all, it was a superb event
and a great way to round off another year in the industry
