Fellow of the Institution receives Royal Academy Award
Professor Dracos Vassalos FRINA has been awarded the Sustained Achievement Medal (formally the Lifetime Achievement Award) by the Royal Academy of Engineering. He is the first naval architect to receive this Award.

Professor I Ketut Aria Pria UTAMA FRINA has been appointed Head of Department of Naval Architecture and Shipbuilding Engineering at the
Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS), Surabaya. RINA – d’Amico Student Naval Architect Award
The 2011 RINA – d’Amico Student Naval Architect Award was presented to Alessio Prestileo whose project entitled “Probabilistic study of vertical bending moment and structural resistance for a crude oil carrier with damaged hull” was adjudged to have been the best presented final-year project on the Naval Architecture and Marine Technology course at the University of Genoa.

RINA – Keppel Student Awards

RINA – BV Student Naval Architect Award
Te 2011 RINA – Bureau Veritas Student Naval Architect Award has been awarded to Cécile Siboni whose project “Conception d’un sous-marin à impacts maîtrisés sur l’environnement” was adjudged to have been the best final year project on the on the Naval Architecture and Offshore course at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Techniques Avancées, France.
