SHAWS WARRANTY AND INSTALLATION
Shaws products carry a warranty against manufacturing defects. Please contact your retailer if you have any issues regarding the purchase of your Shaws sink or other products. As a Shaws sink is a handcrafted product, the dimensions may vary plus or minus 2%, this could also be caused due to shrinkage during the firing process. Shaws recommend that your kitchen fitter is aware of this and that no work surfaces or cabinets are cut before measuring your sink. Due to the handcrafted nature and weight of Shaws sinks, we recommend that a specialist kitchen fitter installs your sink and that the sink is properly supported.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
We recommend that your Shaws sink be cleaned using a soft sponge or cloth and a non-abrasive cleaning product. Soap and water will generally be sufficient. Shaws handcrafted sinks are manufactured with a durable glaze for years of beautiful performance. On the occasion that a metal pan or cutlery marks the surface of the sink, we recommend ‘Astonish’ cleaner to remove the mark. Undiluted chemicals such as bleach should not be used. While no ceramic sinks are impervious to damage, fireclay resists chips, scratches and stains better than other materials. SHAWS HANDCRAFTED SINKS All Shaws sinks have a one year guarantee against manufacturing defects and ten years for fading and staining.
SHAWS BASKET STRAINERS/WASTES
Manufacturing defects are guaranteed for one year as are decorative finishes from date of purchase. Please do not use abrasive cleaning chemicals such as bleach.
SHAWS BY PERRIN & ROWE TAPS
All working parts and valves are guaranteed for a period of five years from purchase. Decorative surface finishes and O-rings are guaranteed for one year providing that our advice concerning care has been observed and that no scouring and chemical agents have been used.
The above warranties are upheld providing that the products have been used for normal domestic use only and excludes defect or injury caused by or resulting from misuse, abuse, neglect, accidental damage or improper installation. The five year guarantee does not apply to the replacement of products where damage is caused by normal wear and tear. Please contact your local retailer or showroom where you purchased your Shaws product for all warranty related claims.
