electricity, heat, I mean everything. After a few short months we had it ready enough to move in. It was livable but by no means fi nished, but it was good enough for me, so time to move on to the most important project … building my pond! My wife was not happy to say the least, but I was in the pond business so I had to have a pond. Quickly, our backyard was beautiful and came to life with our pond. It didn’t take long before my wife was the fi rst one home to feed the fi sh, or begging me to keep it running a few more weeks at the end of the season. Now with three daughters and a black Lab, the pond sees all kinds of activities. Our dog is in it fi rst thing each morning and the kids spend many a summer afternoon splashing around with the fi sh. Now as we head upstairs to bed each night and pause to look down on the pond, my wife turns to me and thanks me for letting her live in a resort.
