Description Established in 1929, Callan Golf Club is located 1 mile from Callan on the Knocktopher Road. This parkland course features well placed spinneys, bunkers and hazards, with water features on 8 of the holes, and has a justifiable and well earned reputation for the high standard of presentation and upkeep of both fairways and greens. Description Courtown Golf Club was founded in 1936 as a nine hole golf course but has developed over the years to become one of the best eighteen hole courses in the South East. On our 75th anniversary, we were officially rated number seventy five in the Top 100 golf courses in Ireland. Although we are situated by the side of the sea, Courtown is in fact a very mature parkland course with an abudance of tree lined fairways which offer a challenge to golfers of all standards.
