Desktop tethered dictation from the Olym- pus Directrec range provides ergonomic design for highly precise and easy opera- tion.

The Olympus DR-1200, DR-2100, DR- 2200 and DR-2300 are the new additions to the Directrec range offering professional dictation needs in stationary environ- ments. The revamped, stylish design of the Directrec range significantly improves ergonomics to enhance operability, along with better microphone performance.

The latest Directrec generation expands the Olympus ‘simple, reliable, flexible and secure’ design concept, by augmenting it with ‘integration’ – boosting productivity to new levels. The Directrec 2nd generation thereby evolves to a total system solution that includes device configuration software and a Software Development Kit (SDK) for IT administrators and systems integrators.

Dictating as well as using the software is extremely easy thanks to its thoughtfully positioned slider (DR-2100, DR-2200 and DR-2300 only) and button layout. A track- ball also features on the DR-1200, DR- 2200 and DR-2300 for even more intui- tive, one-handed operation. Furthermore, the new, low-noise directional microphone ensures that unwanted background noises won’t tarnish recordings. These new Direc- trec models are also the perfect input de- vices for speech recognition.
