ON THE FLOOR Super bug!
BUGGED OUT, BUTLINS, BOGNOR REGIS
Bugged Out! on course for full weekender at Butlins, Bognor Regis...
SPINNING off the excellent dance music magazine Jockey Slut in 1994, Bugged Out! made its name bringing Detroit techno, Chicago house and home-grown artists such as The Chemical Brothers and Slam to Manchester’s Sankeys (previously Sankeys Soap) throughout the late ’90s.
Since uprooting to London to a residency at London’s The End during the noughties, it found a new home recently at ultra-hip East London hang-out XOYO and has bubbled away healthily ever since, continuing to freshen up its line-ups with splashes of UK bass, fi dget, dubstep and new school garage over the last 12 months. But like all fl ag-bearing club nights, Bugged Out! has striven towards critical mass,
snowballing as it moves forward in the pursuit of bigger and better things. It’s set to culminate at the beginning of next year (Friday 20th-Sunday 22nd January) with the fi rst-ever Bugged Out! Weekender at Butlins Bognor Regis Resort.
Featuring everybody from big-room behemoths such as Diplo or Chase & Status to electro kings such as Erol Alkan or Simian Mobile Disco, the line up is jam-packed with the most wanted names on the underground circuit — the likes of Joy Orbison, Julio Bashmore, L-Vis 1990, Bok Bok, Ben UFO and Deadboy — while disco has found a place with the likes of Severino and Dan Beaumont…
