nfineon Technologies AG (OTCQX: IFNNY) announced the availability of world’s first security
chip solutions compliant to the open standard CIPURSE for public transport applications.
Moreover, Infineon announced the availability of first samples of the 65nm embedded flash (eFlash) microcontrollers (MCUs) targeting chip card and security applications. This results from the develop- ment and production partnership for 65nm eFlash MCUs Infineon and TSMC established in 2009.
First products to be ramped in high volume will be microcontrollers for SIM card applications. Process and product qualification is scheduled for the second half of 2012.
Infineon‘s outlook for the first quarter of the 2012 fiscal year: Sales to decline about 10%; total segment result margin to be 13 to 14%. FY 2012 outlook: Revenue expected to be down a mid single digit percentage versus the 2011 fiscal year with a low to mid teens percentage for total segment result margin.
