Tossed and Tumbled Most of the trash on Kamilo is broken or shredded. Some of it is small and looks like colorful grains of sand. Waves tossed and tumbled the plastic, breaking it into smaller and smaller pieces. While some of the plastic bits wash up on beaches like this one, much of it stays in the ocean.
