New substances for the effective stimulation of natri- uretic peptide receptors are presented, which bind to the natriuretic peptide receptors A and B (NPR-A and NPR-B) due to their novel structure, thereby com- prising a significant advantage over already known receptor agonists (e.g. nesiritides).
This makes highly promising substances available for the development of pharmaceuticals, which promise significantly better effects while at the same time of- fering effective compatibility. The new substances are suitable to be utilised to treat the following diseases: congestive heart disease, coronary heart disease, organic and functional vascular disorders, nephro- tic syndrome, hypertension, myocardial infarction, erectile dysfunction, primary or secondary fibrosis, cirrhosis of the liver, pulmonary fibrosis. The sub- stances are also suitable to be used for improvements in arterial, venous and capillary blood flow.
TransMIT is looking for cooperation partners for the further preclinical and clinical development and approval of the new substances through to a pharmaceutical suitable for prescription in Europe, America and Asia.
Subharmonic Mixer for Electromagnetic HF Radiation in the THz Frequency Range
Abstract: The present subharmonic frequency mixer is used to generate a mixed signal from frequencies in the submillimeter and the terahertz wavelength. Based on standards of the semiconductor technology, this new mixer achieves an extra high mixing efficiency due to operating above the transistor cutoff frequency.
