Director of Youth Ministry
Implementing the Diocese’s vision for Youth and Young Adult Ministry, central to which is the growth of parish based Youth Ministry, the Director will have signifi cant line management responsibilities and play a pivotal role in establishing the Diocesan Centre for Youth Ministry and the relocation of our residential youth provision.
Applicants should be able to think strategically for a whole diocese and have a proven ability to manage, motivate and work with both paid and volunteer staff. Signifi cant experience in youth ministry will be looked for. Applicants should be practicing Roman Catholics with a knowledge of, and commitment to, the Church’s teaching. A nationally recognised professional qualifi cation would be an advantage and a formal theological background welcomed.

The Diocese of Westminster supports 216 Catholic primary and secondary schools in London and Hertfordshire, throughout one of the most diverse and exciting dioceses in the country. Due to forthcoming retirements we are seeking to recruit to the above posts for January 2012 in our Education Service, based in our central London offi ces.
The Assistant Director (Advisory Team Leader) will lead a team of between six and eight primary and secondary Advisers who will provide support to teachers, head teachers and governors focused on developing the Catholic life of the school and the teaching of religious education. The Assistant Director will also contribute to the strategic direction of the Service through membership of the senior leadership team. The successful candidate will be a committed Catholic with recent experience of the leadership and management of Catholic schools.
The Adviser for Catholic Education (Secondary) will directly support a number of Secondary schools within the Diocese and will work together with other colleagues in the Advisory Team to deliver effective in-service training and develop the support delivered to all schools in the Diocese. The successful candidate will be a committed Catholic with experience of the co-ordination and delivery of Catholic religious education.
