BRISTOL CITY’S HOT NEW PAIR

WITH a wonderfully Dickensian name, Waifs & Strays (aka Amos Nelson and Rich Beanland) have been getting requests of “please sir, can I have some more?” ever since they burst into the public consciousness. First there was the detuned r&b garage of ‘Yeah Yeah’, a tune that was apparently all over Movement in Detroit last year. Then came ‘What You Want’, their contribution to Heidi’s Get Physical Jackathon compilation. Now the material is coming thick and fast. Their ‘Be Patient

EP’ for Bristol’s Futureboogie came out this week with two brand new tracks, while on 24th October they make their debut for Hot Creations with another couple of originals and a Hot Natured remix. Already nestled in the bosom of plenty of upfront labels (yep, we’re milking the breast analogy for all its worth, something probably lost on you if you didn’t understand our opening rhyming slang gambit), they clearly know their house onions. Need further proof? Just check the chart.
